No Parking Sign

WMS Families,

  • In collaboration with the City of Whitewater, Whitewater Unified School District is working to evaluate options for increased student safety at drop-off and pick-up. There are identified concerns with traffic moving in and out of drop off/pick up in front of the Middle School that we would like to address. On Monday, April 22, 2024, WMS families will be impacted by the following changes:
What: The City of Whitewater will be installing barricades to block off the areas directly east of the Laurel and Court Street intersection. Please see this graphic for the no parking, stopping, or standing zones below

  • Why: To make sure students cross Elizabeth Street at controlled areas, namely Laurel Street and Court Street, instead of darting out between cars.

  • When: Starting Monday, April 22, 2024

Thank you for helping keep our students safe!
Dr. Caroline Pate-Hefty, WUSD Superintendent
